The indoor red clay tennis courts in Breganze, Italy, needed a lighting retrofit that supported play while reducing the electrical load of the existing installation. The project record identifies 20 existing 400W HID luminaires arranged as 10 plus 10. The replacement used 20 Navigator LED floodlights, each rated at 180W.
The project file reports an average power reduction of 64% for this installation. That figure describes this recorded retrofit; a different facility requires its own calculation based on existing equipment and operating conditions.

In tennis, players look upward to track the ball. A floodlight has to place light on the court without creating uncomfortable direct glare in common viewing directions. The Navigator series was used in this project as a court floodlight. The final result depends on its positioning and aiming as well as the fixture itself.
For venue owners and lighting contractors, the useful lesson is to document the existing installation, define a measurable lighting target and check the proposed configuration before ordering. This is especially important for a retrofit, where existing mounting positions may constrain the layout.
Record the number and type of existing luminaires, mounting locations, court dimensions, operating hours and any venue or competition requirements. Ask the lighting supplier to evaluate horizontal light levels, uniformity and likely glare positions using the photometric data for the exact product configuration.
